Michigan running back Donovan Edwards announced on Sunday that he will not participate in the upcoming ReliaQuest Bowl against No. 11 Alabama on December 31. Instead, he will focus on preparations for the NFL draft.
This season, Edwards has rushed for 589 yards and scored four touchdowns for the defending national champion Wolverines, who finished the season with a 7-5 record. Over his college career, he accumulated a total of 2,251 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns, in addition to 86 receptions for 797 yards and four receiving touchdowns.
Michigan will also be missing several potential first-round NFL draft picks in the bowl game, including defensive tackle Mason Graham, cornerback Will Johnson, and tight end Colston Loveland, as they face the Crimson Tide.
