Two recruits for the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team were set to take part in the 2025 Under Armour Next All-American game, which aired on ESPN+. However, one of the players, Madison Quest, was unable to participate due to recovery from minor surgery.
Quest, an incoming freshman for UW-Madison, was absent from the game as she is still recovering and working on getting back into shape. Dennis Punzel confirmed that while she is recovering well, she was not yet ready to compete at the high level required for the showcase.
In an update on Twitter, Punzel explained, “Madison Quest didn’t play in the UA All-American match because she’s coming back from minor surgery and just ramping up her training.”
Though Quest was sidelined from the event, ESPN+ featured a segment on her life and volleyball journey. On Instagram, she shared two reels that included clips from the segment, narrated by her mother, Pauline Quest. The video highlighted how volleyball brought the Quest family together and how Pauline allowed Madison to choose her own path, which ultimately led her to pursue volleyball and UW-Madison, following in the footsteps of her father, a former Badgers basketball player.
