Three former Wisconsin Badgers played key roles in the Indy Ignite’s historic win on Saturday. The team, in its inaugural season in the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF), features two former players and one coach from Wisconsin.
The Indy Ignite are coached by George Padjen, with former Wisconsin volleyball player Izzy Ashburn serving as one of his assistants. On the court, former Badgers middle blocker CC Crawford and setter Sydney Hilley are teammates. While they nearly crossed paths at Wisconsin, they are now working together as part of the Ignite.
