Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim praised goalkeeper Altay Bayindir as the “hero” following his side’s FA Cup victory. The win came after a strong 2-2 draw at Liverpool, despite Bayindir facing criticism for his performance in United’s 4-3 Carabao Cup loss to Tottenham last month.
“I felt from the start that today was our day,” Amorim said. “Football works in cycles. In one week, your life can change. You saw that with Altay. Against Tottenham, everyone pointed fingers, and I understand that. Today, he was our hero.”
