Novak Djokovic, a 10-time champion, and Carlos Alcaraz, a four-time major winner, are set to take center stage at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Djokovic, who is working with coach Andy Murray, will face Portuguese qualifier Jaime Faria in the day session on Rod Laver Arena. Alcaraz, seeded third, will meet Yoshihito Nishioka in the second match on Margaret Court Arena. Both players are expected to meet in the quarterfinals.
In the night session, Alexander Zverev will continue his bid for his first Grand Slam title on Rod Laver Arena, playing Spaniard Pedro Martinez. Casper Ruud will headline the Margaret Court Arena night session in a match against Czech #NextGenATP player Jakub Mensik.
Elsewhere, Jack Draper will face Thanasi Kokkinakis in the twilight session on John Cain Arena. Sebastian Korda and Felix Auger-Aliassime are also in action on Kia Arena. Korda will play Aleksandar Vukic, while Auger-Aliassime will take on Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
