Christian Pulisic’s injury woes have resurfaced following his premature exit from AC Milan’s match against Como on Tuesday. The U.S. international limped off the field just before halftime, leaving his team to finish the first half with only ten players. He was substituted by Alejandro Jiménez for the second half.
The incident occurred when Pulisic was caught on the ankle by Como defender Marc-Oliver Kempf. After going down, he promptly signaled for medical assistance, indicating discomfort in his left thigh. As of now, his availability for Milan’s upcoming clash against Juventus on Saturday remains uncertain.
This latest setback comes shortly after Pulisic made his return from a prior injury, having participated in the Italian Super Cup, where he played a key role in Milan’s victory. Prior to that, he had been sidelined for nearly a month due to a torn muscle in his right calf and a subsequent minor ankle issue. Despite these challenges, Pulisic has been a standout performer for Milan this season, contributing five goals and four assists in Serie A, along with three goals in the Champions League. Milan ultimately secured a 2-1 victory against Como.
