The U.S. men’s national soccer team has announced that forward Jesús Ferreira, along with defenders Jalen Neal and John Tolkin, will not participate in Saturday’s friendly match against Venezuela. Their departures from the training camp come as the team prepares for the upcoming game.
According to the U.S. Soccer Federation, Ferreira is returning to Seattle to focus on regaining his fitness. This move is aimed at ensuring he is in optimal condition for future competitions. Meanwhile, Neal is dealing with what has been described as a minor issue and will join his club, Montreal, for preseason training.
Tolkin’s exit is attributed to personal reasons, and he is reportedly in discussions regarding a potential transfer from the New York Red Bulls to Germany’s Holstein Kiel. As of now, the U.S. team has not made a decision on whether to call up replacements for the three players.
