The game shifted dramatically in the second half when Tennessee unleashed a powerful 26-4 run, turning a one-point halftime deficit into a commanding 51-30 lead. Zakai Zeigler contributed significantly with 16 points and seven assists, while Jahmai Mashack and Cade Phillips added 12 and 10 points, respectively. In contrast, Georgia struggled offensively, with Asa Newell and Silas Demary scoring 13 and 12 points, but the Bulldogs could not maintain their momentum from the first half.

Georgia, which led 26-25 at halftime, faced difficulties right out of the gate in the second half, missing their first five shots and committing several turnovers. This allowed Tennessee to capitalize and take control of the game early in the half. Despite shooting just 27.3% in the first half, the Volunteers found their rhythm, hitting nine of their first 13 shots during their decisive run. Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Saturday, with Georgia hosting No. 1 Auburn and Tennessee traveling to face in-state rival Vanderbilt.
