The Upton boys’ basketball team in Wyoming is off to a strong start this season, holding an undefeated 10-0 record, their best in the past decade. The Bobcats, led by head coach Joe Samuelson, are fresh off a state championship win in Wyoming’s Class 1A last season with an impressive 24-1 record and are determined to repeat that success.
The team gained momentum over the weekend, securing a win at the West River Tournament at The Monument. Samuelson values this tournament highly, as it gives his team the chance to face out-of-state competition, helping them prepare for the postseason in March.
“Our guys have worked hard, and I’m very proud of them,” Samuelson said. “We have a strong group of seniors, and leadership is key as we approach the postseason. These players have created a great team culture.”
