The Saint Joseph’s women’s tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to Duquesne on Sunday at Springton Tennis Club.

Match Highlights

• Charlotte Kordonowy and Brooke Tackett secured a hard-fought 7-6 (5) victory in the third doubles flight. However, Duquesne won the first and second doubles matches, earning the opening point.
• Wiktoria Czerny staged an impressive comeback in the second singles flight, overcoming a one-set deficit to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
• Gisele Tang delivered a strong performance in the fifth singles flight, claiming a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
• Despite these wins, Duquesne won the remaining four singles matches, sealing the overall team victory.

What’s Next?

Saint Joseph’s will travel to Boca Raton, Florida, for Spring Break before returning home to host George Washington on Friday.
