Several players made significant moves in the PIF ATP Rankings following an eventful week on the ATP Tour, with tournaments in Acapulco, Dubai, and Santiago shaking up the standings.
Tomas Machac achieved a career milestone by winning his first ATP title in Acapulco, propelling him into the Top 20. Meanwhile, Stefanos Tsitsipas returned to the Top 10 after securing an ATP 500 title in Dubai. Laslo Djere also made a notable leap following his ATP 250 victory in Santiago.
Here’s a closer look at the biggest movers in the latest ATP Rankings as of Monday, March 3.
Tomas Machac (No. 20, +5) – Career High
Machac, 24, entered the Abierto Mexicano Telcel as the highest-ranked player without a tour-level title, but he changed that narrative with a dominant run in Acapulco. Dropping just two sets all week, he capped his performance with a straight-sets win over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final. His victory lifts him five places, breaking into the Top 20 for the first time.
Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 9, +2)
After two runner-up finishes at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, Tsitsipas finally claimed the title with a commanding win over Felix Auger-Aliassime. This marks his 12th ATP title and his first at the ATP 500 level. The victory returns him to the Top 10 for the first time since June 2024.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (No. 39, +9)
Davidovich Fokina continued his strong form after reaching the Delray Beach final in February. He advanced to another championship match in Acapulco but fell short against Machac. However, his wins over top opponents, including Frances Tiafoe and Denis Shapovalov, helped him climb nine spots to No. 39.
Learner Tien (No. 68, +15) – Career High
The 19-year-old American continued his impressive 2025 season by reaching the quarterfinals in Acapulco, where he stunned top seed Alexander Zverev. Tien, who also made the fourth round at the Australian Open in January, jumps 15 spots to a career-high No. 68.
Laslo Djere (No. 74, +29)
Djere shined on the South American clay courts, capturing his third ATP title with a hard-fought win over Sebastian Baez at the Movistar Chile Open. The Serbian’s victory lifts him 29 places to No. 74, marking a significant rebound in his ranking.
