How It Happened:
The match began with a strong start from the Jimmies, who took a 4-1 lead thanks to a kill by Michal Niemiec and some errors from the Mustangs. However, the Mustangs quickly responded, tying the set at 6-6. The set remained close until a 6-0 run by The Master’s University sealed the first set for them 25-15.
In the second set, the Mustangs took control early with a 6-2 lead and never looked back. They maintained their momentum and finished the set with a 25-16 win.
The Jimmies fought hard in the third set, beginning with a 4-0 run helped by Mustang errors to take a 6-3 lead. But the Mustangs responded with a 3-0 run to take a 13-12 lead. The set remained competitive with both teams trading leads. Tomasz Swiderski’s efforts kept the Jimmies in the game, but a final 2-0 run by the Mustangs gave them the set 25-22, and the match in straight sets.
