Louis Buffon Makes Professional Debut with Pisa at Age 17

At just 17 years old, Louis followed in his father’s footsteps, although he is taking a different path. While Gianluigi Buffon had an illustrious career as a goalkeeper, Louis is an attacking player, specializing as a left-sided forward.

Louis was brought on as a late substitute by Pisa’s manager Filippo Inzaghi, who also played alongside his father for Italy. The match ended in a 3-2 loss for Pisa against Spezia.

Pisa, currently second in the Serie B standings, is aiming to secure promotion to Serie A for the first time since 1991.

Originally from Turin, Louis recently decided to represent the Czech Republic at the under-18 level, honoring his mother’s heritage.
