Utah Valley’s Dominick Nelson has been named the 2024-25 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. The award, voted on by the league’s nine head coaches, was announced Monday as part of the WAC’s end-of-season honors, presented by University Credit Union.
Nelson led a strong group of award winners from three different schools. Utah Valley also claimed two additional major awards, with Carter Welling earning WAC Defensive Player of the Year and Todd Phillips being named WAC Coach of the Year.
