Paris Saint-Germain secured a dramatic victory over Premier League leaders Liverpool, winning on penalties at Anfield to book their place in the Champions League quarterfinals.
Ousmane Dembélé put PSG ahead 12 minutes into the second leg, capitalizing on a defensive mistake by Liverpool. The home side pressed for an equalizer, hitting the post through Jarell Quansah and forcing several saves from PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
In the penalty shootout, Mohamed Salah converted for Liverpool, but both Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones saw their attempts denied by Donnarumma. Youngster Désiré Doué then stepped up to score the decisive penalty, making history as the youngest player to net a winning spot-kick in the competition.
