World No. 1 Daiki Kajiwara successfully defended his WH2 men’s singles title at the Spanish Para Badminton International 2025 I, securing his fourth consecutive victory in the tournament.
The reigning Paralympic champion displayed his dominance with a commanding 21-7, 21-8 win over fellow Japanese player Takumi Matsumoto in the final. Kajiwara cruised through the semifinals as well, defeating Germany’s Rick Cornell Hellmann 21-3, 21-3 without breaking a sweat.
Kajiwara’s unbeaten streak at the Toledo event began in 2022, and remarkably, he has not dropped a single game in four years. His success continued from last week’s Spanish Para Badminton International 2025 II in Vitoria, where he also claimed the title.
