ETSU men’s tennis player Pedro Cressoni has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. This marks the junior’s first career weekly honor at ETSU. He joins teammate Juan Andres Listo as the second Buccaneer to receive this recognition during the season.
Cressoni earned the award after an impressive performance in ETSU’s 6-1 victory over Wofford last Thursday. He teamed up with James Sim to secure a 6-1 doubles win against Wofford’s Jack Burdell and Max Graham. In singles play, he dominated Daniel Clivio with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory.
With this latest win, Cressoni now leads ETSU in singles victories this spring, holding a 9-3 overall record.
The Buccaneers will return to action on Wednesday when they face No. 65 Florida Atlantic University in a non-conference matchup. The match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
