Veteran college basketball guard Nijel Pack will transfer to the University of Oklahoma for the 2025–26 season, according to a report from On3 Sports’ Joe Tipton.
Pack, 23, has played 122 games across five seasons at the NCAA Division I level. He began his career at Kansas State University, where he played two seasons, before transferring to the University of Miami in 2022.
At Miami, Pack became a key contributor and was part of the Hurricanes team that reached the 2022–23 Final Four. He averaged 14.3 points, 3.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game throughout his college career. Known for his shooting, Pack hit 38.5% of his 3-point attempts at Miami, averaging nearly six shots from deep per game.
Injuries, however, have slowed him in recent years. After missing several games due to a knee injury in 2023–24, Pack’s 2024–25 season was cut short by a right ankle injury after just nine starts.
Despite the setbacks, Pack has shown his scoring potential. His standout sophomore year at Kansas State saw him average 17.4 points per game while shooting 43.6% from three-point range. His performance that season earned him First Team All-Big 12 honors.
A native of Indianapolis, Pack played high school basketball at Lawrence Central, where he led his team to a Class 4A sectional title in 2018–19. Though part of the same recruiting class as Indiana guards Trey Galloway and Anthony Leal, Pack, then a three-star recruit, did not receive a scholarship offer from Indiana.
Now, Pack continues his journey away from his home state, heading to Oklahoma as he looks to finish his college career on a high note.
