The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and the International Blind Football Foundation (IBF Foundation) have signed a new agreement to extend their collaboration on broadcasting and sponsorship rights for blind football tournaments.
Under the terms of the agreement, the IBF Foundation will have exclusive rights to negotiate broadcasting and sponsorship deals for major IBSA tournaments, including the Blind Football World Championships. The agreement also allows the IBF Foundation to use the IBSA brand to promote these events.
As part of the deal, the IBF Foundation will pay royalties to IBSA and provide the organization with access to tournament footage for promotional purposes.
This partnership, which builds on a successful collaboration that began in 2021, marks a significant step in the international development of blind football.
“IBSA is pleased to continue our partnership with IBF Foundation. We are confident that this collaboration will further promote the growth of blind football and help increase its visibility worldwide,” said an IBSA representative.
The new agreement takes effect on April 1, 2025, and will remain in place until March 31, 2029. It is seen as an important move in IBSA’s mission to expand the sport of blind football globally.
