Despite strong performances from first-year players Maya McDaniel and Emily Greb, the RIT women’s tennis team fell to Union 5-2 on Saturday.

Doubles
In doubles play, McDaniel and fellow first-year Melanie Saborio teamed up for a win. They defeated Union’s Kennedy Alexis and Chara Meidani 6-3 at first doubles.

Singles
In singles matches, McDaniel dominated at first singles, beating Skylar Semon 6-0, 6-2.
Greb also earned a singles victory. After dropping the first set, she rallied to defeat Samantha Jacobs 0-6, 6-1, 6-0 at second singles.
