Notre Dame continues to lead college football history in NFL Draft picks, with six former Irish student-athletes selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. The school now has 538 all-time NFL Draft selections, extending its record as the program with the most picks in history.
This marks Notre Dame’s 89th NFL Draft, with an Irish player selected in 89 of the 90 drafts held to date, tying for the most by any college football program. The Fighting Irish also hold the longest streak in college football, with at least one player drafted for 87 consecutive years, including the 1977 supplemental draft.
In the 2025 Draft, cornerback Benjamin Morrison was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round (53rd overall), while safety Xavier Watts was picked by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round (96th overall).
Day Three of the draft saw linebacker Jack Kiser selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth round (107th overall). Defensive lineman Rylie Mills followed in the fifth round, chosen by the Seattle Seahawks (142nd overall), and tight end Mitchell Evans was selected by the Carolina Panthers (163rd overall). Quarterback Riley Leonard rounded out the group, drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round (189th overall).
With six players selected, Notre Dame has now had six or more players drafted in three of the last five years.
