Tulane defensive back Micah Robinson was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Robinson was the 237th overall pick, marking the second consecutive year that the Packers have chosen a Tulane player in the seventh round. Last year, quarterback Michael Pratt was picked 245th overall.
This also marks the 16th time the Packers have drafted a player from Tulane, the most by any NFL team. Robinson is the 26th Tulane player to be drafted since 2000 and the 152nd overall in the program’s history.
Robinson is the second defensive back from Tulane selected in this year’s draft, joining Caleb Ransaw, who was picked 88th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. This marks the third straight year that Tulane has had multiple players drafted, with recent years also seeing players like Tyjae Spears and Dorian Williams drafted in 2023, and Jha’Quan Jackson and Michael Pratt in 2024.
This year’s draft also marks the first time since 2021 that Tulane has had multiple defensive players selected. Robinson and Ransaw’s selections make it the first time since 2015 that Tulane has had two defensive backs chosen in a single draft.
Robinson, who transferred from Furman for his final season, played in all 14 games in 2024. He totaled 34 tackles, two interceptions, and a team-high six passes defended. He was also named to the Second Team All-AAC.
The Tulane football team finished the 2024 season with a 9-5 record, playing in their third consecutive bowl game. Tulane has made bowl appearances in six of the past seven years, and the 2024 Gasparilla Bowl was their 17th all-time.
Tulane also reached the AAC Championship Game for the third year in a row, continuing a strong three-season stretch with a 32-10 record. The team placed first or second in 10 AAC categories, including leading in third-down conversions, scoring offense, and defensive touchdowns.
The Green Wave had 18 players named to the All-AAC team in 2024, with returning players like Derrick Graham (First Team), Shadre Hurst (First Team), Sam Howard (Second Team), Bailey Despanie (Second Team), and Kameron Hamilton (Third Team) making an impact.
Tulane’s 2025 schedule includes home games against Northwestern, Duke, East Carolina, Army, Florida Atlantic, and Charlotte, with away games at South Alabama, Ole Miss, Tulsa, UTSA, Memphis, and Temple.
