Augustana, Carthage, and North Central ended the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men’s tennis regular season with matching 6-1 records to share the 2025 league title.
Augustana clinched its share of the championship on Sunday with a 7-0 sweep over Illinois Wesleyan in the final match of the regular season. North Central secured its 6-1 finish earlier, defeating Wheaton 6-1 on Saturday night.
This is the first time since 2023 that the CCIW regular-season title has been shared, when North Central and Carthage split the honors.
Despite the tie, North Central earned the No. 1 seed for the upcoming CCIW Championship, which begins Thursday in Rock Island, Illinois. The Cardinals won the tiebreaker by recording the most individual match victories against Augustana and Carthage.
