USA Basketball has announced that the 2025 USA Basketball 3X Nationals will be held from May 2 to 4 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) in Mesa, Arizona. The event will bring together up to eight men’s and 16 women’s teams, featuring some of the best 3×3 players from across the country competing for national titles.
“We are excited to partner with Arizona Athletic Grounds to host the USA Basketball 3X Nationals,” said USA Basketball CEO Jim Tooley. “With the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games ahead, we look forward to seeing experienced players and new talent compete in this dynamic version of the game.”
The tournament will begin on Friday, May 2, with preliminary round games and continue through to the medal rounds on Sunday, May 4. Teams will be seeded for bracket play based on their performance in the preliminaries. Fans can watch all the action live via streaming on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.com/USABasketball.
Admission is free, and fans can reserve tickets online to secure their spot at the event.

A strong lineup of teams is expected to participate. In the women’s field, NCAA Division I programs such as Fairfield, Florida, James Madison, Oklahoma State, Richmond, South Carolina, South Dakota State, Stephen F. Austin, TCU, and Vanderbilt will be joined by pro team 3XBA and Team Phoenix. The men’s competition features top 3×3 pro teams including Los Angeles, Team Miami, O’City Cage, Team Orlando, and Team Phoenix.
The 3X Nationals will also serve as a talent evaluation for future USA Basketball 3×3 national team selections. These include rosters for the 2025 FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (June 23–29), as well as teams for the 3×3 World Tour, Women’s Series, U23 Nations League, and U23 World Cup.
3×3 basketball is played on a half court with a 10-minute game clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to reach 21 points, or the team leading at the end of regulation, wins.
