North Florida men’s basketball head coach Matthew Driscoll announced on Tuesday the addition of graduate transfer Devin Hines to the 2025-26 roster.
Hines joins North Florida after spending four seasons at Lafayette (2021-25), where he averaged 9.9 points per game in 22.4 minutes over eight starts in the 2024-25 season. He scored 10 or more points in five of those games, including a standout 17-point performance against La Salle on Nov. 9. Over the last two seasons, Hines ranked among the top-four scorers on the team.
In the 2023-24 season, Hines earned All-Patriot League Third Team honors after starting 29 of 30 games. He led his team with an average of 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, playing 27.6 minutes per contest. His best performance came on Feb. 17, when he scored a career-high 20 points against American.
“Devin Hines is one of those individuals that continuously checks the boxes more and more as you grow in the relationship,” said Driscoll. “He is dedicated to his academics and off-the-floor endeavors. His game has many levels—his ability to score, distribute the ball, rebound, and defend physically make him a perfect fit for our program. He has an amazing spirit, cares deeply for his teammates and everyone he meets, and has developed a strong work ethic that will always bring success.”
A native of West Palm Beach, Fla., Hines played at St. Andrew’s High School, where he won a 2020 FHSAA 3A State Championship.
Hines’ addition strengthens North Florida’s 2025 class, which also includes high school recruits Benjamin Plummer, Trey Cady, Gabriel Jacobs, and Mason Watkins, as well as transfer Kent Jackson.
