The COSAFA Under-17 Girls’ Championship kicks off this Saturday in Windhoek, Namibia. It marks the first of five women’s tournaments planned for the COSAFA calendar in 2025.
Over the past ten years, women’s football in the COSAFA region has seen major growth. More young women now have chances to play and work in the sport, both on and off the field.
To highlight this progress, the latest episode of The COSAFA Show features an interview with Violet Jubane, COSAFA’s Women’s Football Consultant.
The timing of the interview is ideal, as the Under-17 Championship will showcase the next generation of female football talent in the region.
Jubane, a graduate of the prestigious FIFA Masters program, brings deep experience and insight to her role. Her work supports the development and promotion of women’s football throughout Southern Africa.
