New Zealand Rugby (NZR) and Toyota New Zealand (TNZ) have finalized a three-year partnership, making Toyota the Official Mobility Partner for New Zealand’s national rugby teams.
This agreement covers a wide range of teams, including the All Blacks, Black Ferns, Māori All Blacks, All Blacks Sevens, Black Ferns Sevens, All Blacks XV, and New Zealand Under 20s. As part of the deal, Toyota’s branding will be prominently featured on training jerseys, training kits, and during test matches.
NZR CEO, Mark Robinson, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Toyota. Their brand is highly respected and deeply embedded in New Zealand life, much like rugby itself. The shared values between our organizations make this partnership a perfect fit.”
Toyota New Zealand CEO, Tatsuya Ishikawa, also commented on the partnership, saying, “It’s a significant moment to announce a collaboration with New Zealand Rugby, an iconic brand. Our vision for ‘Let’s Go Places’ aligns with bringing everyone on the journey, and sports are a powerful connector. We’re excited to work together and engage with local communities through rugby.”
This partnership offers Toyota the chance to strengthen its connection with New Zealand communities and leverage the global visibility of New Zealand Rugby. It is expected to provide significant value, especially in supporting national teams and enhancing fan engagement during major rugby events.
