The Future Series tournament concluded on Saturday with European players reaching the podium in every discipline. Among the highlights was Belgium’s Charles Fouyn, who won his first senior title in a thrilling men’s singles final.
Fouyn defeated Sweden’s Muh Azahbru Kasra in a close match that lasted over an hour. “This one feels particularly special. I’m overall happy and hungry for more!” Fouyn shared on Instagram after his victory. The men’s singles podium was entirely European, with Finland’s Joonas Korhonen and Denmark’s Salomon Adam Thomasen both taking bronze.
In women’s singles, Croatia’s Jelena Buchberger claimed a bronze medal. Germany also earned a podium finish in women’s doubles, with Eva Stommel and Aurelia Wulandoko securing a medal spot.
Polish duo Adrian Krawczyk and Szymon Slepecki won the men’s doubles title, adding to Europe’s strong performance.
However, Serbia emerged as the top European nation of the event. The Serbian team won three medals: two bronzes in men’s doubles and a gold in mixed doubles. In men’s doubles, the pairs of Andrija Doder/Sergej Lukic and Viktor Petrovic/Mihajlo Tomic reached the semifinals. Tomic then partnered with Andjela Vitman to win mixed doubles gold. It was the Serbian pair’s first title of the year, following their last win in November at the Hungarian International.
