Four Marist University tennis players have been named to the Academic All-District team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the school announced on Wednesday.
From the women’s team, Caterina Assi, Cloe Clements Sorde, and Ellen Zureick received the honor. On the men’s side, Jose Catala was also recognized.
The CSC Academic All-District award celebrates student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and in competition. To qualify, athletes must be at least sophomores in academic and athletic standing, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and meet minimum playing time requirements.
This recognition highlights the dedication of Marist’s student-athletes to their studies while continuing to perform at a high level on the court.
