Toulouse (France) claimed a dramatic 21–19 overtime victory against Liman (Serbia) to win the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Amsterdam 2025 on May 18.
After a mixed start in pool play, Toulouse stepped up in the knockout stages. They defeated host team Amsterdam and then Vienna to secure a spot in the final. Their opponents, Liman, entered the final undefeated and had already beaten Toulouse earlier in the tournament.
The championship game started slowly, as both physical teams sized each other up. Liman made the early moves with strong inside scoring, but Toulouse responded through Hugo Suhard. Serbia’s Zigon impressed early, while the French kept pace with baskets from Jules Rambaut and Paul Djoko.
The score remained tight for most of the game, with neither side pulling away. Liman briefly created some space when Marko Stevanovic hit a two-pointer to make it 10–7 with just over four minutes left.
But the French side wasn’t done. Rambaut nailed back-to-back twos, and Franck Seguela scored in the paint to bring Toulouse back. They eventually took the lead, only for Stevanovic to tie it again at 19 with a clutch shot in the final seconds.
Seguela thought he had scored the game-winner at the buzzer, but the shot came just after time expired. That sent the game into overtime.
In OT, it was Paul Djoko—nicknamed “The Joker”—who delivered the final blow. He drilled the deciding two-pointer, sealing a 21–19 win and giving Toulouse their first title of the season.
Djoko was the standout of the tournament, scoring a team-high 29 points overall, including 5 in the final. His outstanding play at both ends of the court earned him MVP honors in Amsterdam.
In the individual contests, Trey Bardsley from Miami (USA) won the Shoot-Out Contest powered by MVB BOUW. Poland’s Piotr “Grabo” Grabowski thrilled the crowd to win the Dunk Contest presented by NXT Level.
