Sedaví Football Pitch Reopens After Storm Repairs, Thanks to Valencia CF and Partners

The football pitch at the Sedaví Municipal Sports Complex officially reopened on Tuesday, May 20, following extensive renovations supported by Valencia CF, its foundation, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Divina Seguros, and the ‘Fila Cero Solidaria’ fundraising initiative.

This reopening is part of a broader recovery effort after the DANA storm severely damaged sports facilities across the Valencia region. Sedaví now joins Aldaia’s Jaume Ortí Complex and Catarroja’s ‘Mundial 82’ as newly restored football venues.

Over 250 young players from partner academy CF Atlético Sedaví can now return to training on a safe and modernized pitch. The upgraded facility is a crucial step in restoring normalcy for the children, providing them with a space for physical activity, social interaction, and emotional development.

The renovation is part of the ‘Escoles VCF’ project, led by the VCF Academy. This initiative includes 43 partner academies that benefit from Valencia CF’s training model, coaching resources, and community-building efforts. It also promotes stronger ties between local clubs.

Wider Support from Trusted Institutions

Valencia CF’s official insurance partner, Divina Seguros, has been a key supporter since the beginning. The company matched the highest individual donation to the ‘Fila Cero Solidaria’ and offered free private health coverage—including accident and illness insurance—to over 1,000 children affected by the storm.

In addition to their support for sports recovery, Divina Seguros will join Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation in donating a musical instrument to the Santa Cecilia Musical Group of Sedaví.

LALIGA EA SPORTS also played a major role through its FC FUTURES project, which aims to make quality football more accessible to children worldwide. The organization contributed to the pitch restoration and donated balls and equipment to several local schools impacted by the flooding.

The reopening of the Sedaví pitch symbolizes more than just a return to play—it reflects a powerful collaboration that continues to invest in the future of young athletes and their communities.
