New Life for Sedaví Pitch: Valencia CF Leads Community-Driven Field Restoration

The football field at the Sedaví Municipal Sports Center officially reopened on Tuesday, May 20, after undergoing a full renovation. The project was led by Valencia CF through its foundation, Fundació VCF, with support from LALIGA EA SPORTS, Divina Seguros, and public donations to the “FILA CERO SOLIDARIA” initiative.

Part of the ‘Escoles VCF’ Project

This renovation is a key part of the ‘Escoles VCF’ initiative, which connects 43 partner schools to Valencia CF’s world-class training methodology. The project not only focuses on athletic development but also strengthens the sense of community among clubs in the region.

Divina Seguros and LALIGA EA SPORTS Play Key Roles

Divina Seguros, the club’s official insurer, has been a major partner in the rebuilding project. The company matched the largest donation made to the FILA CERO SOLIDARIA and provided free health coverage to over 1,000 young players affected by recent DANA flash floods.

“This is also education,” said Divina Seguros President Armando Nieto. “These children are learning teamwork, how to win, how to lose — and it’s thanks to all the families, donors, and Valencia CF.”

In a gesture of cultural support, Divina Seguros also donated a musical instrument to the Santa Cecilia Musical Group of Sedaví in collaboration with the club.

LALIGA EA SPORTS contributed through its FC FUTURES initiative, which works to ensure young people around the world have access to quality football opportunities. Along with helping restore the field, the program donated balls and other sports gear to local schools.

As Sedaví’s young players return to the field, the project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between sports organizations, local institutions, and the wider community.
