Stanford men’s basketball will take on Colorado in a neutral-site matchup on Saturday, December 20, 2025, as part of the Hall of Fame Series Phoenix. The game will be held at PHX Arena, home of the NBA’s Phoenix Suns.
The event is organized by Position Sports and the Basketball Hall of Fame. It features a doubleheader, with Arizona facing San Diego State in the other game. Tipoff times and broadcast details will be announced at a later date.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Hall of Fame Series Phoenix,” said Kyle Smith, Stanford’s Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball. “Colorado has been one of the top programs in the West over the last decade. They’ve seen strong postseason results and produced several NBA players. They’re also a familiar opponent from our Pac-12 days. Coach Tad Boyle runs a great program, and we’re excited for the challenge.”
This will be the first neutral-site meeting between Stanford and Colorado since 1951. Colorado leads the all-time series 20-11. Stanford’s most recent win came on March 1, 2020.
Stanford wrapped up the 2024–25 season with a 21-14 overall record under first-year head coach Kyle Smith. The Cardinal matched a program record with 17 home wins at Maples Pavilion — the team’s highest win total since the 2014–15 season.
