Chinese badminton players delivered a commanding performance at the 2025 Malaysia Masters, claiming victory in four of the five finals held Sunday at the Axiata Arena.
In the men’s singles final, Li Shifeng cruised past India’s Srikanth Kidambi with a decisive 21-11, 21-9 win.
The women’s singles saw a fierce contest between two Chinese teammates. Wang Zhiyi came from behind to defeat Han Yue 13-21, 21-13, 21-18 in a match that lasted over an hour.
The women’s doubles final was also an all-Chinese matchup. Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning outplayed Jia Yifan and Zhang Shuxian in straight sets, winning 21-17, 21-18.
China’s dominance continued in the mixed doubles final. Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping edged out fellow Chinese pair Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin in a close three-game match, 21-17, 14-21, 21-16.
