Grup Mediapro has highlighted the work of its audiovisual services division, Mediapro BMS, which served as the host broadcaster for the Final Four of the Basketball Champions League (BCL) earlier this month.
The top-tier European club competition, organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), held its Final Four event from May 9–11 in Athens, Greece, powered by SUNE.
A crew of more than 50 professionals from Mediapro Greece handled the production and live broadcast of all four matches. Working in partnership with the BCL and its local agent TAF Media, the team delivered full coverage of the event with a robust technical setup featuring over 20 cameras.
For the championship game, Mediapro enhanced coverage with 1 PoleCam, 4 Super Slow-Motion cameras, and several MiniCams, capturing the action from every possible angle. A dedicated VAR Van was also on-site to support video review and replay capabilities.
This high-end production allowed basketball fans around the world to follow the intense competition between La Laguna Tenerife, Galatasaray, AEK Betsson BC, and Unicaja.
Grup Mediapro, which produces more than 25,000 live events annually, is no stranger to major basketball events. The company has partnered with FIBA on several key tournaments, including the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 (Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines), the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2023 (Spain), the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 (Czechia, Georgia, Germany, Italy), and the FIBA AmeriCup 2022 (Brazil).
With this latest production, Mediapro continues to reinforce its position as a leader in sports broadcasting and a trusted partner of international federations.
