Columbia University’s baseball team has earned a No. 4 seed in the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and will compete in the Hattiesburg Regional. The Lions will take on host team Southern Miss on Friday, May 30, at 7 p.m. ET at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Southern Miss enters the regional as the top seed, with a 44-14 overall record and 24-6 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Golden Eagles also received the No. 16 national seed. Alabama (41-16, 16-14 SEC) holds the No. 2 seed, while Miami (31-24, 15-14 ACC) is seeded third.
Columbia (29-17, 16-5 Ivy League) is making its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance overall and its sixth since 2013. The Lions advanced to the Regional Championship Round in both 2015 and 2022. They qualified for this year’s tournament by winning the Ivy League Tournament and securing the conference’s automatic bid.
Columbia is entering the regional in top form, having won nine straight games and 16 of their last 17.
Ticket prices for the Hattiesburg Regional have been announced. All-Session Chairback seats are available for $120. All-Session General Admission and Wheelchair seating are priced at $100. Students from any of the four competing schools can purchase General Admission passes for $50. More details on ticket sales will be released soon.
The Hattiesburg Regional begins on Friday, May 30, and will feature two games per day through Sunday. If necessary, a seventh and deciding game will take place on Monday. All game times are in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
