Australia’s next generation of football talent will take center stage this July as the 2025 Emerging Socceroos and Emerging Matildas Championships unfold in Melbourne and Sydney.

The Emerging Socceroos Championships—featuring Under-15 and Under-16 boys—will be held from 6 to 11 July at the Home of the Matildas, located at La Trobe University in Melbourne.

Meanwhile, the Emerging Matildas Championships—for Under-15 and Under-16 girls—will take place from 15 to 20 July at Valentine Sports Park in Sydney.

Referee Preparation and Coaching Appointments

In the lead-up to both tournaments, match officials will participate in a series of education sessions led by Football Australia. These sessions will include video reviews and theoretical training aimed at sharpening decision-making and maintaining high refereeing standards throughout the championships.

Coaching talent has also been confirmed. Football NSW representatives Maggie Price and Nick Young will serve as coaches at the Emerging Matildas Championships, while Chris Young has been named among the coaching staff for the Emerging Socceroos Championships.
