Five members of the Elon University men’s tennis team have been named to the 2024–25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. This recognition highlights their excellence both in academics and athletics.
Juniors Oskar Antinheimo and Veljko Krstic, sophomores Jack Curtis and Alonso Roca, and freshman Charles Pilet were all honored for their outstanding performances during the 2024–25 season.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes who excel in both their respective sports and academic pursuits. To qualify, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and participate in a significant portion of their team’s matches.
Freshman Pilet, from Bordeaux, France, made an immediate impact in his first season with the Phoenix. With a cumulative GPA of 3.644, the undeclared finance major quickly stood out as one of the team’s top performers.
Sophomores Curtis and Roca also earned recognition for their academic and athletic achievements. Curtis, majoring in applied mathematics, posted the second-highest GPA on the team at 3.756 and recorded a 10–5 singles record. Roca, who is majoring in entrepreneurship, earned a cumulative GPA of 3.569, ranking among the team’s academic leaders.
Junior Krstic, who majors in finance and business analytics, earned a spot on the Academic All-District Team with a GPA of 3.619. On the court, he posted a 10–6 singles record and teamed up with Antinheimo in doubles play, where they finished with a 7–8 record.
The team’s top academic performer was junior Antinheimo, an accounting and finance double major. Antinheimo earned a remarkable 3.957 GPA, the highest on the squad. On the court, he recorded a 6–8 singles record and partnered with Krstic for doubles matches throughout the season.
