Defending champions Alianza Lima have secured their fifth Peruvian women’s volleyball championship title. They triumphed over Regatas Lima in a best-of-three series, winning 2-1 in the finals.
Alianza took the lead with a dominant straight-set victory in the first match. Regatas responded in the second game, leveling the series with a four-set win. In Sunday’s decisive match (pictured in the main photo; source FPV – Federación Peruana de Voleibol), Alianza Lima sealed their victory with a convincing 3-0 win, taking the sets 25-15, 25-21, and 25-16.
Universidad de San Martín de Porres Lima earned the bronze medal in the competition.
Ysabella Sanchez, Alianza Lima’s 25-year-old outside hitter, was named the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) for her outstanding performance throughout the championship.
