The Indian women’s football team will host Uzbekistan for two FIFA international friendly matches at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru.
The matches are scheduled for Friday, May 30, and Tuesday, June 3. Both games will kick off at 4:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
India enters the series after recent losses to Russia and South Korea. Uzbekistan also comes into the friendlies after defeats against Zambia and China.
In the latest FIFA women’s rankings, India is ranked 69th, while Uzbekistan holds the 50th position.
Coached by Crispin Chettri, the Indian team is using these friendlies to prepare for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers. India has been placed in Group B and will face Mongolia on June 23, Timor-Leste on June 29, Iraq on July 2, and hosts Thailand on July 5. All group stage matches will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Historically, Uzbekistan has had the upper hand against India. The two teams have played 13 times, with Uzbekistan winning nine matches. India has won once, and three games ended in a draw.
