The Air Force Women’s Tennis team made a strong showing in the 2025 postseason regional rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Wednesday, both individually and as a team.
After achieving its largest single-season turnaround in program history, the Falcons finished ninth in the final Mountain Region rankings. Under the leadership of head coach Taylor Hollander in his second season, Air Force improved significantly, moving from a last-place finish in 2023-24 to a 12-14 record in 2024-25 dual competition, including a 4-6 mark against Mountain West opponents. The Falcons wrapped up their season as the seven-seed in the Mountain West Championship, where they delivered impressive victories, including a shutout of New Mexico and a 4-1 win over second-seed Nevada. This victory marked the program’s highest-seeded postseason win since 2017.
Individually, senior team captain Alexis Odom ranked 18th in the ITA Mountain Region singles rankings. A 2025 All-Mountain West singles selection, Odom finished the season with eight wins, all earned at the top court for the Falcons. Her season finale included a hard-fought three-set victory over Wyoming’s Ana Kochelaevskaia and a straight-set win over Amahee Charrier in the Falcons’ signature victory over Nevada in the Mountain West Tournament.
In doubles, All-Mountain West duo Arianna Van Houweling and Nadia Kojonroj secured the ninth spot in the final Mountain Region rankings. The pair finished the dual season with a 9-5 record, closing the year with commanding wins, including a 6-1 victory over Nevada and a doubles-clinching tiebreak win against UNLV’s Nikol Mircheva and Hanna Vinahradava in the Mountain West semifinals. Their efforts helped the Falcons close the 2024-25 season with a nine-match winning streak.
