UEFA has officially named the referee team for the much-anticipated World Cup qualifying match between Albania and Serbia, set to take place on Saturday, June 7.
The main referee will be Davide Massa from Italy. This will be his second time officiating an Albanian national team match. His previous appearance was in a 2015 friendly against Georgia, which ended in a 2–2 draw at the Qemal Stafa Stadium in Tirana.
Massa will be joined by fellow Italians Filippo Meli and Ciro Carbone as assistant referees. Fabio Maresca will serve as the fourth official, while Aleandro Di Paolo and Daniele Doveri will handle VAR and AVAR duties.
This match marks Albania’s third in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Red and Blacks lost their opening match to England but bounced back with a win over Andorra.
For Serbia, this will be their first game of the campaign, adding an element of unpredictability to the clash at Air Albania Stadium in Tirana.
Albanian fans are eagerly looking forward to the match, hoping for a strong result that could boost the team’s chances of reaching the 2026 World Cup.
